Based on the fact my batteries have gone dead, I am now aware of a current draw somewhere that I need to trace down. How do I go about putting a master battery disconnect switch to help keep my batteries from going dead while my truck sits until I can get the draw fixed? Suggested switches and/or disconnect methods would be appreciated.

You make a very valid argument. However, similar questions can be asked about someone replying to a post that has been dead for 7 years.
