Any new info on BAy and Bay? It seems if they try to make you default towards the end of of your lease, there was a good two years or so before that, where you made enough money or else you would have quit sooner? no?

I would not do a lease purchase with any company..but like everything you read on here that is an opinion...as far as bay and bay they use to haul some frac sand into bj services when I use to haul nitrogen a few years ago..the guys I talke dwith seemed happy I guess the frac sand was a gravy haul for them they also had fairly new columbias but this has been about 3 years or so that I talked with them ...

Thanks for the input cc tanker. I'm actually been approved for their smaller reefer company D & T. Paper logs, as opposed to ELOG with Bay and Bay. Not too much bad info so far as compared to other carriers. I think Im gonna go. ATS (Anderson Trucking Service) had a lease purchase which was okay..$1300 my pocket but then they put ELOG...$600 wk my pocket so I had to leave.

As far as lease purchase is concerned, most of us do it out of necessity. I need a 1099 not a w2. And my credit took a bad hit during this recession, so I cant finance a truck. I bought an old 92 FLD, but cant come up with cash to get it road worthy. 17 more months of child support and 3 more years for credit to come clean, then I probably will be a company driver and not consider Lease Purchase. But that is just my situation.
    Thanks again. Safe truckin'

My good buddy worked for them and did their lease purchase. He worked his butt off because they gave him so many miles but he did end up owning the truck after like 30 months. He said most of the guys failed because they went home most weekends and didnt take the miles

So what I'm getting from this is you work your a-- off to make any money? That seems normal I just hope they don't tell me that they can't find any freight go to Chicago as I've heard from past employers. Now I'm going it on my own, well with the help of their authority, dispatch, and load board. The only problem I have with this is the Red Truck they say they'll lease to me. I hate red trucks and it also looks like it's an old Crete truck which brings up the question, how is Crete on maintenance?

Well if you're willing to run, you'll make money. Crete/Shaffer has been known for their equipment. 1 thing about bay and bay though is you have to go to to mn
