Up and down,............the road. Finally got off that P3 program, settlements looking better. Also quit using ATBS, doing my own accounting which allows me to understand where the money goes. They just bough a bunch of Prime trucks, I here they are for lp. Seems that the turn over rate is high on LP with new trucks. In my opinion, it's very tough to make the first 3 or 4 months doing LP, but it gets better.
So your hauling cars, I hope your not paying for the fuel! LOL! You still living in MN?

I saw all those Cascadia's over in Rosemount that had pinstriping that resembled Prime stripes...now it makes sense.
I'm a part-time bulk guy...I can try to answer your questions...shoot.back40 Thanks this. -
Biggest questions are about benefits as well as equipment
what do they offer for health benefits for familys particularily any good? price?
hows there trucks and trailers in good condition. not looking for the newest but just about anything is better than what im running now (holes in trailer frames leaky tractors) that no one wants to spend money to fix
do they slipseat, typical hours day/week. set schedual etc.
gonna give the recruters a call here this week but wanted to check on here we all know how recruiters are
good to work for from reading on here there not to bad.
Hows the pay per week what do they match for 401kLast edited: Jun 17, 2014

Because I'm part-time, I don't take benefits so I'm not sure how good or bad they are. I haven't heard any of the full-time guys complaining really though. Equipment is primarily Freightliner Columbias and Cascadias. Although some of the Columbias may be older and high mileage, their sister division, Anderson Diesel Service, does a heck of a good job staying on top of PM's for all equipment. Whenever I've had issues, whether its lights, air, pigtails, tires, etc...on the weekends, the shop has always dropped what they were doing to fix me and get me out on the road, before going back to whatever PM stuff they were doing in the shop so that's pretty cool. Overall, the trucks and trailers are in good condition. Alot of our pneumatics are older (they are buying new tanks too though) but they are in good shape. No holes or issues unloading or loading, no pressure issues, tank manholes close and open with ease, etc. I believe for the most part, the full-time guys are not slipseated, most all seem to have their own trucks. Most of our guys start early in the morning and are done by 3pm...thats a blanket figure. Naturally you work when the work is needed to be done, but I'll pull in on a Friday 6AM to get my check and 1/2 the fleet is already gone.
As far as pay goes, I think depending on what you are doing it may differ from hourly to percentage, but that's just what I've heard. Part-time, I'm hourly and I feel its pretty dang good. I don't know anything about 401k being part time either. The bulk division is in Burnsville, and the OTR division is in Rosemount. If you call recruiting, I believe it all goes to Rosemount. If you want to talk to the bulk side, Google their number for the burnsville terminal (i dont have my phone handy currently) and you'll talk right to the people you want to.
Hope that helps.back40 Thanks this. -
