Yes in Kelowna it's a bit different compared to here in lower mainland there is plenty of work for guys to be running truck and pony all day and don't need the flexibility of having anything over 43,500KG. The guys running an excavating business with dump trucks and need other things hauled like excavators and other equipment is more the norm up their and they need the flexibility of higher weight rating and coverage from icbc. Where as down here we have full on companies providing dump and pony trucking services and they stay fairly busy. I guess it comes down to finding a balance of what your truck is rated for and what your actually hauling on a day to day business and helps keep insurance cost down from icbc
