In a recent blog I make a case for how you can multiply your availability in the trucking market, let's face it, a tough market will have to be met with some extraordinary strategies. Leave your comment on the forum for how to increase marketability with trucking equipment?

now that is a good question and it can have several answers . it depends on what kind of trucker your are or are going to be .
speaking as an independent my answer is pretty simple although a lot will disagree.
if your going to be in business as an independent the simple answer is you got to go where the freight is and willing to stay out till you get the job done which means you can not be home every weekend not fun but nessasary you somply have to keep revenue comming in. this business is not for every one as most find out in pericular with this econamy you just have to turn and burn to stay ahead of the bills and if you can do that before long brokers and others will start calling you to see if your truck is available ,when that starts things will start to get better and easier.
now if your a company driver you just have to learn to keep your mouth shut and take what they give you wheather you like it or not , i never could do that but i have my own trucks and it dosent matter if i piss me off.
the big thing is you got to keep moving you dont earn when the wheels dont turn and some times you have to take the good with the bad.
hope this has helped answer your question. best of luck .---southernprideBeechvtail, RAG and JustSonny Thank this. -
