I bought a brand 579 in August. I had 43 year OTR without a single on Highway Accident. The first trip out, first load, first full tanks of Fuel. On US 82 West of Witchata Falls, TX. The steering started acting werid, vibrating. All of a sudden the truck was pulling to the right. First thought, tire going down. No, that wasn't it, all of a sudden there was a loud band and we are hanging on for the ride of my Life. Well it headed for the right shoulder, thank GOD. I didn't hit anyone else or any thing. But came to rest on the right shoulder and just before it came to a stop. It turned over on the right side! I was very pissed to say the least. But even more when I climbed out with the help of others. Everyone pointing to the front axle, it had slide 10" to the rear. The rear part of the U-Bolt on the right side had broken off. The bolt through the center of the spring was also broken off. I did not hit anything to cause this. There were no marks on the bumper, axle-front, top, bottom, or rear sides. No damage to the right front steer tire or rim! It turns out reading the operators Manuel they have a problem of over Torqueing the BOLTS! You are suppose to have the dealer re tighten them after 800 miles!!! If you have one of these please double check your front end every day. Oh truck had under 500 miles on it. Be safe out there DW
