There are a reasonable number of refrigerated haulers that accept owner operators. Food Haulers (shop rite ), Johanna Farms, just to name a few. If you live in NJ and all you can see are containers and load boards, you're not looking in the right places.

Though, you should have some acquaintance with the industry first, before attempting to compete in what is an extremely competitive area.
