We have a couple of different options as far as what division you would like to go to depending on where you live. We over Flatbed , Glass, and TCD. I am a Flatbed OTR Driving Instructor and have been with Maverick for 6 years I started new to the industry and with the equipment and Training that they provide I have been very sucessful. There is always someone available to talk to when you any problems and they maintain their equipment very well. We have acess to vendors to get things fixed out on the road when and where they need to be fixed. The company is very up front and HONEST wether it is wghat you want to hear or not they do not beat around the bush about anything, and they ask that you do same in return. We have one of the best and highest paid training courses on the road, and in top pay across the board. It doesnt matter if you have experience or if you just got your CDL as long as you meet the requirements they will train you to be a Maverick. To be a Maverick is to be Professional in every manner and to do things the right not because someone is watching but because it is the right thing to do. Do you think you have what it takes to be a Maverick ask me how and any other questions that youo may have. i will be glad to answer anything with no hidden lies or false pretenses.
Been at Maverick Transportation for 6 six years and still enjoy it

The owner of Maverick is pushing EOBR's in D.C as we speak. Wants every truck in the nation to have them.Even though they built his company by letting drivers run as hard as they wanted. Maverick ain't nothing but another trucking company. If they were as special as you make them out to be. They wouldn't be advertising for truck drivers in every magazine across the nation.
slim shady and stabob Thank this. -

Just wondering why a business would not advertise. That actually is not sound business practice. -

Advertise for new customers not drivers.

This may be true, I don't know. I do know this thread is about a Driver whom enjoys his or her profession not EOBR's. I don't see why people bash others for enjoying their job. I would say if anyone is unhappy as a Driver then maybe that person should start looking for another job. I like your post hargis12801. It's awesome to hear about an individual who wakes up each morning and looks forward to working his or her job. Stay safe.

If carriers put forth as much effort in "Retention" as they do in "Recruitment",,,what a change in driver professionalism we would see. I don't like Government intrusion what so ever but, if the Government forked over tax money to companies that focused on "Retention" instead of "Recruitment", that might be helpful as well. No, never mind,,,I don't want the Government forking over any of my tax money for any company to do anything...

Companies KNOW why people quit (a lot of them do an "exit interview")....yet they don't listen, nor do anything about it.
Even if it DOES cost the $3,000 to $4,000 per person to "orientate" a new recruit (like so many would have you believe)....companies must be making even more than that by ripping drivers off; because it don't seem to change.
p.s.- I guess I DID add to it, didn't I?Bass Ackwards Bo and SheepDog Thank this. -
I'm sure Maverick is an ok company but you do come off like a recruiter, how much do they give you for a referral bonus?
slim shady Thanks this.
