Thanks for your willingness to tell it like it is. I have applied at Maverick because I have seldom seen a negative word about this company. My problem is that I have a non-driving job that I don't want to give up just so I can go to orientation and be released. I need to talk with someone (preferably not a recruiter) so that I can get some degree of assurances before I quit my decent paying job.

Hargis, I've got a question for you. I'm a newb as far as driving, just transitioning out of the military. I should be starting orientation next Sunday. I was curious once you start the driving part of the training do I train with someone from my area or just whoever is available? Also, do you go out non-stop for those four weeks of training? I'm really looking forward to getting on the road with Maverick. Out of all the reviews I have read there hasn't been but a couple of bad reviews.

Well to be honest when it gets to the stage of placing you with an instructor they look at close to you first and there are some other things such as smoking or not and sos on that takes place. It all depends on the availabilty of the trainers that makes the ultimate decision. As far as your road time it is continual if you do live close to your instructor then you get home when he does. What division are you going into and where about is home if you Dont mind me asking

I'm going into the flatbed division. I'm in Salem, AL which is right outside of Auburn.
