Wasn't being a smart ###. You didn't get what I'm trying to say. You're not going to get an honest opinion about it from here. Go on maverick is great go see what its like, how much money you'll make, and the turnover rate. I been through maverick, just giving you input unless you only want good news. Which there is very little. Don't listen to any negative about it, there's absolutely none.![]()
Been at Maverick Transportation for 6 six years and still enjoy it

Ok took it wrong. My apologies. From what ive heard talking to mav drivers they are good. I hope so. Tired of hearing promises that arent kept.
MACK E-6 Thanks this. -
They are good to start trucking with, and it may be the rare chance that they turn out to be the perfect company for you. The drivers who are still with them after a yr will probably have nothing bad to say which will probably be the input you get from others in this thread. All was sweet in the beginning for me. Out of the friends I made during orientation of the 14 I knew 10 have quit after the first 4 months. I quit after the first month things started going sour. Got on with a LTL. But if it wasn't for maverick I probably wouldn't have got my current job. Maverick is probably the best starter company and I'll leave it at that much.MACK E-6 Thanks this. -

Ok I've been on the road all the day but I have read some of the post that came in after this one. To answer your question my opinion is yes it is a good choice. This is a company that has shown me a great deal of leadership respect and has treated me like family for over 6 years now. This isn't for everyone and that goes for new guys experienced guys and all. We have a slightly different approach to the industry than most other companies. Some guys just don't take the time to see and understand all of the things that happen behind the curtains. This is an honest company and an open book company if you have a question ask it if it something don't sound right or feel right call and ask. By all means we are not a perfect company but we try our best and we own up to the mistakes that we do make. Do your research talk to drivers and by all means come out for orientation and see what we have to over it is 2 way interview nobody forces you to sign the contract for the job. But nobody sugar coats things or gives a bunch of bs it's all out in the open from day one.

It's not as bad as you make it out to be just show up and be who you are if it isn't a good fit for you walk away. I know you had a bad experience and I apologize for that but sometimes it's a 2 way street. And yes I know there are better companies for different drivers out there but we are not a high security correction facility that you make it sound to be. Find the one that fits your needs and what you want out a company.
