Sounds like your on the way to being a good driver. The only thing I can add is to have a system. If anyone starts talking to you then stop have the conversation then start where you left off. A system helps you preform your duties faster and safer.

You'll do well gravdgr. Not sure of your age, but by the beard I'd say you have a maturity level advantage over these younger ones. Always keep an open mind. You never stop learning. Actually this forum is a good learning tool. I've learned many things here.
I use to be an arcade junkie too when I was a kid. A roll of quarters and a five mile bike ride to the mall and I was in heaven. Asteroids and Defender was big back then. I always kept high score on Defender. I grew out of it eventially. Doom is the last one I remember conquering. I wouldn't mind buying another game system. -
Mmmmm arcades... we used to get up at 8am on sunday and ride the bikes, also about 5 miles, to Peacocks Palace.
It was all you can play from 8am to noon for something like $5!!!!

When I was a kid we use to bang on a coffee lid w/ a stick.
Listen to this
Every day when I get home from work
I feel so frustrated
The boss is a jerk
And I get my sticks and go out to the shed
And I pound on that drum like it was the boss's head -
The big thing to learn is , good directions. Take the directions you get with a grain of salt and call ahead. Google earth is a good way to look at roads before you have to drive on them also.

I'm 35 BTW, I've been around the block a few times. Was supervisor and eventually co-owner of the monument co where I worked for 17 years before leaving (when your co-owner is the wife you are divorcing these things happen lol).
Actually my trainer gave me a 3 ring binder full of info and right on the cover is a flow chart detailing all the steps from receiving the load assignment to sending the empty at consignee message. So I indeed do have a system that works well.
And as for the arcade Galaga was my game. Loved it. I have an xbox 360 in my truck for during resets but my power outlets are screwy and don't like to power a 300w inverter reliably. But I play dead rising 2 on my laptop when the mood strikes me. -
