The tentative specs for the Canadian ELD proposal is also 5 mph with the addition of a 100 foot limit.
So if you move the truck 90 feet at less than 5 mph, fuel or what ever. Then move another 90 feet, it will automatically back date you to the start of the first move unless you shut the truck off in between.

 

Actually, it depends what kind of recording device you have. Mine doesn’t switch to driving until I go 2 miles. I can move around a lot at any speed as long as I don’t go a total of 2 miles before stopping. The sitting duck policy has been in place for some time. The eld/eobr it whatever you wanna call it is an industry fmcsa issue, not a landstar issue.

 

Use Yard Move in parking lots, only burns your 70 on line 4.
