Except it is clear you have never seen it. There are no holes necessary. All the openings for wires exist from OEM. Even the dash mount can be done without damage.

Like most stuck in antiquity your post is long on baseless nonsense short on actual experience.

The omnitracs we use won't register anything for 2 miles, no matter how fast you go. But if we need to move around the truck stop or something we always have the option of just logging off the #### thing. No DOT is going to bother you in that short time period anyway.

I don't know about all of these technicalities. All I know is that with my qualcomm, I've rolled across a parking lot on line 1, hooked to trailer, rolled out of said parking lot, and lost 20 minutes of a thirty minute break. Fun stuff. You just have to plan for this nonsense and hope the shipper and/or rcvr isn't anal about getting you off the lot. It's definitely annoying nonsense and has nothing to do with safety.

We want you to rest on your 30 minute break and not hook up to trailers

Absolutely. I think we got the message from you all. I've said it before and I'll say it again, no taking constipated dumps on your thirty break because it's too strenuous and you certainly aren't getting enough rest.

Mtn Gal and tommymonza Thank this.

Dude......I was in a Loves the other night and some dude behind closed door number 1 closest to the sinks when I was washing my hands dumped FULL Peterbilt jake brakes with some kind of liquid mixed in followed by a long exhale. I don't know if he was constipated but I was hoping nobody was about to light off a ciggy in there or it would have blown the roof off that place.

That should cost him some hours off of his qualcomm, or something. I said out loud "holy ####" I couldn't help it.

FMCSA recognizes that ELD’s have contributed to the recent increase in rates and is currently working to change the hours of service to make them more flexible (probably split sleeper). Based on that I’ll bet the “December 2019” rules will get changed before then.

It'll be MORE BS to add to the pot. The FMCSA just needs to let us do what we want like it used to be and then you wouldn't see guys sleeping on every exit ramp in the country. They say that wrecks have decreased, but I see trucks in the ditch all the time.

    Rocks and jsnell Thank this.
