What made you decide to snatch the chair?

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

This particular beggar wasn't exactly easy on the eyes, especially with that dreadfully woeful expression on her face.

It was just an act to gain sympathy. I figured she could at least stand if she were going to beg. Sitting and begging on a street median makes the act look that much more contrived.

    A noble gesture, commendable.
    hope you stay safe,
and don't get a shiv in the ribs
    from a scoundrel
    as repayment for your kindness.

It was 1968, Philadelphia, Vine street, in the "Tiki Room."
Several of the fellas heard they would sell package beer to go
without carding, I was 17. Six of us went in, I was the last to leave.
Some guy was hiding in the entryway behind the door, stepped out
behind me and stuck a rusty Cub Scout knife in my rt. trap. muscle,
just above my shoulder blade in a downward strike.
I was in Valley Forge Military Academy, and all six of us
were in uniform. I guess they didn't like our uniforms.
It was like a giant electric shock and put me to my knees.
Bled like a pig, ran to my waist in back, ruined uniform,
that I then had to pay to replace. Street smart ER tech.
yanked it out, (Yes,the guy stuck me and left it in there.)
He did the "on the count of three" routine, one, (and 1/2)
and pulled it out. So he puts gauze on a skinny hemostat
and dumps Beta-dine on it, shoots the spot w/joy juice,
and runs this in and out to get the rust and germs out.
Sewed it together like he was lacing up a football seam.
Hour later, on the street, again like wtf just happened?
He gave me the knife; still in the top of my toolbox.

So, yes, I have a concealed carry permit and a Ruger LCP.
And no one I don't know gets within arms length of me.

I guess I did this wrong before,
how would you know if I asked you
a question, if I don't quote your post?
(But, the post has nothing to do with my question.)

I too have a Ruger LCP and it makes a nice pocket gun. I installed a Peacemaker trigger from Galloway Precision and It shoots really nice. Also have a S&W M&P Bodyguard that's the same size and is also a good pocket gun.
