What kind of job are you looking for.. Are you just wanting OTR? Have you considered regional? Dumps? Tankers? Car carriers, Moving Companies (bedbuggers)? Dry Bulk (I know there are some companies that run from NH/Ma to Ontario hauling cement.. They run heavy but it's somthing else to consider.) Even Roll off's?

Why everyone gets fixated on the mega reefer and van companies is beyond me.. There are lots of "other" options that are often far better!

OUCHH- but true, I know when I first got my CDL at 19 I couldn't find anything, until I found a local driving job paying $13/hr so I took it..keep your head up that's all I gotta say, its a great industry for me so far and plenty to be made, something will come up eventually

This thread is over 2 years old and there are still thousands of people being sucked into CDL mills or "free" company training that just end up going further in debt .

Well if the CDL "mills" went away, you'd lose half your bulletin board material here.......

That's the funniest post I've read in my short time here, sure am glad I'm doing what i was told and reading everything before deciding if this industry is for me or not.

One can learn a lot here.
