But then others I feel like I know zhitz..coastie Thanks this. -
try and pull out on red at the warehouse i work and you're not getting anywhere, if you do then you've damaged the trailer big time.
break the rules and we'll just contact your employer and tell them you're not allowed back on our property. if you get to that point with us then you've done something seriously wrong and irritating as we're quite easy going.
just a few really simple rules, follow posted signs, don't hit anything and don't be a dick to us. my personal limits on the 'dont be a dick' are much higher than some of the people i work with simply because being on this board i understand how crappy the drivers day can be.hunted Thanks this. -
Having a bad day is no excuse to be a d!*# toward a customer or truck stop employee. Suck it up, put on your big boy pants, and act like a professional.
Ougigoug Thanks this. -
Following directions shouldn't be hard if you can read. It amazes me the lack of common sense in some people. Don't play by the rules and you pay the price. Doesn't mean I agree with all the rules, but I follow them.
-
a lot of these "rules" are put in place because some moron of a driver decided that he/she knew better and either got a loader/unloader hurt, damaged equip, etc.
honestly how hard is it to just simply follow the rules that are set by the shipper/receiver if for no other reason than to make sure you get in/out as quickly as possible.
most of their rules are simple enough...if red light then do nothing until you are either given green light or told to do otherwise. -
One guy that my boss dispatches is banned from winco foods for doing that crap.
-
Ya wow..what idiot pulls away on a red anyway??
-
Check.......is the plate up?........ Is the dock door closed? If the light is still red which has happened to me before go in tell them what door that your at and ask them to turn it to green. In most cases you wont get the paperwork until they are done, there has been places that do drop the bills and seal inside the trailer for you to seal. It all depends every situation is different just be safe, remember though your not only a driver but your in a service industry don't burn bridges
