New record today. 600 miles and 8.8 MPG from eastern TN at XT 440 to Little Rock, AR. Weight in the box is 41250 not including pallets. I didn't scale it so I can't say exactly how much I weigh.

Curious about your flowbelow... Wouldn't a set of full fenders do essentially the same thing??

If it covered from the front fender all the way back. I have only seen that on the super truck concepts though. They make full fenders but they stop just in front of the drives. I would think that would be heavier than the Flow Below too. I haven't been below 8 since putting it on. I think my estimate of .3-.4 mpg was about right.

This time of year really isn't the best to be trying new gadgets for improving fuel mileage, this is when retailers start switching back to summer fuel.

I don't notice much of a difference between winter blend and summer. I worked for Knight through two winters and the difference was .2 or so mpg.

Sure it is fuel just rose 10 cents over night. My fingers are crossed that it will go back up to $5 bucks.

I heard on the radio OPEC is meeting on when and how much to begin restricting production. I have no doubt it will keep going up. I focus on MPG a lot day to day. If I can manage to maintain 8 mpg or better I can make money on my fuel surcharge revenue as opposed to it just being a helping hand.

Yes OPEC is meeting now to come together to raise oil prices. I hope it does come up, I can't wait to get paid to fuel. Probably would help rates rise as well. I think some of the trucks that do worse when fuel is higher take more time off during a price rise, and rates thus rise as well.

Misisian I'm curious at an 8mpg average you're doing very well especially with a 386. What speed do run at? What are the specs on the truck, tires? Engine? Trans? Gear ratio? Do you have an apu? What about the trl specs, tires? Trailer tails? Skirts? What typical weights are you running at?----thanks

Run at 59 mph at 1350 rpm. 2012 386, Cummins 1450/1650 ST 400hp, Bridgestone Greatec Super Singles, 10 speed direct drive manual, 2.64 rear, TriPac APU.

Trailers are a hodgepodge. All Utility Reefer trailers, very few dry vans, most have skirts or the SmartTruck UT1 system, they are trying to outfit all with tails, I would say that is about half way done based on my own experience with drop and hook, tire inflation system, they also run quite a few rentals and those have no aero devices at all. I have pulled a little of each.

I stay pretty heavy. I haven't scaled a load in weeks since I have a suspension load gauge in the truck. Usually 40k and greater in the box. I have had two loads I would consider light or less than 68k. Most runs are AR to NY, FL, IL, WI, UT, AZ, PA, IN, AL, TX, MI and back.

Forgot to add I had the Flow Below installed along with Anderson Eco Flaps.
