Truck is doing well. I put 20k on it since the oil change and it only used about a quart. I went ahead and topped it off the other morning. I have an OA kit on the way from Blackstone Labs so I can check the health at about 25k. I'm hoping to get 60k out of the oil but will see how that goes.

Took a chance and brought a load to Laredo. Turned out pretty good and I'll make 1.40 for the trip on all miles. Grab the reload in the morning and head back to Arkansas. They have been doing. Better job lately with the rate per mile and keeping the truck loaded.

This will be my best month yet. Once I deliver this one Monday that will be be 13,611.00 in revenue on 10,124 total miles. I'll get one more load the in by the end of the month getting revenue into the 14k range. My MPG for the month is 8.8 keeping my fuel cost low at about .20 cents a mile. They are getting close to my target of 1.35 on all miles. Hoping they keep it up.

Some say that rate is cheap but I'm paying the bills, paying myself, and putting away 3000-5000 a month into the bank account. You can make money leased to someone but you have to be lean and efficient to do it.

Of course you can make money being leased to a carrier. No one says you can't. What we say is why lease to a carrier that your target is 1.35 when there are options to lease to a carrier with the target at 2 bucks.

Quarterly fuel numbers are in; MPG on hub miles is 8.2 on 32,872 miles. Information downloaded from EFS.

Does the $1.35 per mile include the FSC?

Yes. The 1.35 per mile is total revenue divided by total hub miles the truck turned for the month. When I throw out my rate per mile that is how I determine the number.
