Some won't care, some will want you to be in business for 6 months, some it will take a year before they will work with you. It never hurts to call and ask what the policy is where ever you are gong to be leasing to or hauling freight for.

If they need trucks when you are available, they will use you. If not, you will sit.
If you will haul cheaper than others will, they will use you more. If not, you will sit.
If you will do the broker a favor when he needs it, they will use you more. If not, you will sit.
In other words, you are at their mercy more as a new hauler than as an older one with a good track record. As your track record with a broker gets longer, they will load you ahead of the other, newer truckers. One hand washes the other.

    That's trucking.

I have a broker that won't use any new authority until at least 6 months. A year if if they don't speak english as their born language.

i mean it makes sense with the seniority but i dont wanna be an impediment to me for months to come ,to succumb to the cheapest loads there , i understand that trust comes with time but i am hoping wont be something major to affect my business at the point where i m not able to get loads!!

You can get alligators anywhere, go hunting for them wild hogs, that would be fun.
