I basically want to know everything about them, the pay, benefits, the mileage what are the area's they mostly run. I know they run Canada that is no problem I am in the midst of obtaining my passport/passcard soon. How are their trucks? do they set you up for training with a mentor? Do they have a pet policy? Inverters, and apus available? Are their trucks governed? they run flatbed but also herd they haul stone's. I'm trying to get into the flatbed aspect of it but if you have knowledge of hauling stones can you give me a brief description?

Trucks are all pro stars, lots of bells and whistles, 65mph, they have van and flats. they run all 48, but majority of there work is on this side of the big hills (rockies). When I was there i took my dog, and my truck went 80 mph, so things have changed. Stone runs are dedicated. If you get one the pay is percentage, you do the same run each week. You are basically delivering tombstones to dealers and such, lots of work but good money, and your home every weekend, cause ya load your own stone at the home barn (overhead cranes) The president is a real fair man Roland Bellavance, and so is the operation manager Raymond Routhier, give them a call 1 600 257 2828

Do they have training there? I haven't been on the road for 2 years and what is the pay-scale by percentage for rookies or someone rusty as myself :biggrin_2559:? How do they transport the tomb stone's?

    Local to these guys.

150 trucks. All internationals. Ugly 2-tone. Drivers have a reputation of being hard on equipment, but not realy a bad reputation. Some have APUs but they do have some concerns as to maintenance costs on them. Some of the rigs have super singles. They are getting some very sharp new trucks that are black. They haul some cheese and coffee and lots and lots of granite, because that's what Barre is about--stone.

Guys running stones reported to crack into the six figures. These are palatalized tombstones mostly going into high population east coast cities. Yeah they get a percentage, but I don't know exactly. They often bring back Chinese stone from the ports. I have a friend who works loading the granite loads. So the driver just hooks to a strapped and weighed load of stones and heads out. They also have OTR guys, and 5 or 6 lowboys that move equipment and mausoleums! They are known to hire students, but I don't know about the trainer thing. They laid of some guys for the winter, but are getting busy again now. At least some had the choice of getting laid off or going OTR. The guy I know chose unemployment. This is a good solid company with people who like working there.
