Anyone know for sure if in Colorado, whether you can collect unemployment benefits while training for the CDL (class A)?

Not sure about CO, but in TN you can and they might even pay for it. You can continue until you recieve your first "for pay event" and become an emplyee of the trucking company and start your OTR training. From what I understand you are to terminate as soon as you become an employee.

in most states as long as you also do a job search for full time work and are available for work, you should be ok....as also stated, the WIA program might be able to help pay for the training as well.
to search for work, all one has to do (in most states) is go online to the various job sites and well, look for work, and make up a record of your job searches. if, and i do say if you ARE LUCKY to find a job while going to CDL school you can change your school hours to fit you new job.
if you do not go through the WIA program and do not do a job search weekly, then this is where you can lose your benefits.
now if you go thru the WIA program, and they send you to school...?? you need not do a job search....
at least this is true in my area...CO should NOT be that much different.
