Takes money to make money. We steal money to buy coke then sell the coke to make even more money. Capital investment, man.

(Can anyone guess what movie that's from?)

Why is it I seem to see the elog drivers being the ones who open their door in the parking lots and dumping their Pee jugs. and dropping the plastic bags more than some one I believe is still on paper logs?
I run paper logs and I haul oversize. I never push it hard. Still do the miles I need to do for my day. I have time for showers and proper meals. So little Tyson, give it a rest....
Oh and I don't sit at the fuel island taking my 30 min. break like the other elog babies do

Through out my adult life I never needed more then 6 to 7 hours sleep. In fact much more then that and I always felt bad most of the day. I never missed a chance for a nap during the day. Because I drove reefers I was in food warehouses and distribution centers a lot. The average stay in these places is about 2 to 3 hours. I watched a movie did my paperwork and kept up with things online or if I felt the need I took a nap. I had in cab scanning so at the end of my day I scanned my paperwork if I had any ate dinner and went to bed. When I woke up I almost always had at least an hour before I could drive so I got my flashlight and did a pre-trip then ate breakfast. As an OTR driver you should have ample free time outside of your sleeping time to do personal things. If per chance you don't then I suggest you consider finding a better situation because you are harming yourself.

I only watch Chuck Norris, Bruce Lee, Steve McQueen, Clint Eastwood, and John Wayne movies. And anything with Kate Beckinsale or Anne Hathaway in it.

Whatever you want to do, there's a few truck stops with a movie theater nearby,
I like to drink, and luckily there's a bar next door to most the truckstops I spend the night at.
But I've met drivers that like to ride their bikes and they know where the truckstops next to bike trails are.
And with the 70 hour rule and appointment times , most my 10 hour breaks are way longer than 10 hours.

How do you spend your free time now?. I am assuming of course that you don't currently work 19 hour days.

You should figure on 12 hours of driving (11 hours driving, 30 min DOT break, 10 minutes pre-trip, 10 minutes fueling & 10 minutes post-trip), not including loading/unloading time.
