Everyone is going to be different. If you sleep 8 hours, then you won't have much time left in a 10 hour break. Those of us who can't sleep more than 4 or 5 hours will have considerably more time. 5 hours is more than enough time for me to eat, shower, do laundry (this won't be daily either), do "housekeeping" and still take in some TV, web surfing or gaming.

Buy a good mattress, or try to make it more comfortable, keep yourself clean and truck is good for moral, make your job easy, so it goes fast, safely and less stressful, don't drink coffee or soda, very important, try to sleep 8 hours. I think being a trucker u need to have some control of your time, it may sound futile and most the time is like swimming against the river!, but I am sure all truckers have a opinion about how to keep ones control and maybe have extra time at the end of the day. Things like, know your way, remember the shipper/receiver, the good and the bad, can p/u or drop earlier?, what is good on your way, and final destination, when you have to use 2-8 split is for your benefit not the company, in my personal opinion! Change your eating habits, try to be healthier, don't be lazy, don't lose control, don't freak out, don't be paranoid! don't listen to BS, tell your family good things and do fun stuffs at home, make good friends out here, forget Obama, Hillary and Trump, think about your job not them, lol.
