Right now I have a Stryker 955 with #8 cable running from the battery. I cut the cubbyhole a bit bigger to make it fit. I'm just looking for a step up radio from this one. My technician recommends the Galaxy 98vhp vs the rci n4. He says that the n4 can damage the electrical components in the truck. I'm sure I can just turn down the power and be fine.

Its not the power draw so much as it’s being able to connect to power without effecting truck computer sensors.

What makes the Galaxy not fit is the amp sticking out of the bottom of the radio. The Galaxy 98 is a 200 watt radio. The Stryker 955 is 70 watt. If you want something between that I believe Ranger has a 100+ watt radio that fits in the upper cabinet it just don't have all the pretty lights or SSB. Or if you want the Galaxy 47 is 125 watts no SSB and dont fit the upper cabinet.

Hang it. Dont screw up the dash by drill holes in it. You know where to find a video on that.

I just realized I was messaging you on YouTube! Thanks for the video man it helped a lot. My swr dropped to 1.1 on ch 1 and 1 on ch 40. When I'm driving my 7ft antennas bend alot so my swr jump alot. I'm thinking about buying clear PVC to wrap them in. What cb do you recommend to get out with ssb?

I cant give you a honest recommendation on SSB. Because I have never used it and probably never will. I'm sure someone on here will answer that. Lots of SSB users on here.
