Didn't have him put the analyzer on it while co-phase. I just checked it and decided that's not what I wanted.

Not wanting to co phase you mean?

I sorta thought about but a cpl folks who know a boatload more than me said its not worth it..Although i did see a older cascadia with a pair of 7ft firesticks..Didnt know what to think of it..

Yeah after I checked the swr on my meter being 2.5 on co-phase I took the spliter off and went back to just the 1 antenna. He maybe like me and just have 2. It messes with my OCD just having 1 tall antenna. If you run in the west a lot it maybe worth it. Seems to be more long straight roads where you can talk in that front to back radio wave pattern that co-phase is supposed to give. But, where I am I believe 1 is better.

Now im not sure but even cophase it shouldnt be any different than single swr other than be 75 ohm vs 50 of a single ant..
If your running 1 ant on a cophase coax its gonna mess with stuff..To much resistance and that will not make the radio happy and god knows what else..
1 coax 1 ant..cophase with 2 ant..Cant just unhook at splitter and continue on..You need 50 ohm coax for 1 and 75 ohm for 2

Dont think you are understanding what I'm saying. I have 1 coax to the drivers side and a completely different coax to the passenger side. And, the only why to co-phase them is with a T connector. I didn't check the resistance while having them hooked together with the T connector. The swr reading was enough for me to realize co-phase was not what I wanted for my setup.

Thanks for the info. I thought my truck was the only one acting up. I'm going to try only one antenna.

If it goes bad with my 7ft I think I'm going to buy 102 whips and a 6in solid gap filler.

Yeah just follow my video on the step by step coax install of the drivers side. Get the good coax from the CB shop the have the CB tech come out and install the connector on the other end of the coax. Please don't fool with that pre made coax that is sold in the truck stop with the screw on end.

    Sgonza101 Thanks this.
