After drilling a hole in the center of your roof, the best antenna is the longest one you are willing to bolt to your roof.
Choosing any other mounting location will cause you to lose probably 90% of your performance, at which point it won't matter which antenna you choose.

Why use a base load to replace a base load that ill need to cut a hole in my roof...My lil hpc2 will need a lil more muscle to push some power outta it..lol

Did a quick search and everything is NOT in english.....1 vid a ap ant was hooked up to a midland radio and the ant was sitting on a bed or something and it was reciveing..

Thought i had a buyer for my hpc2,was gonna get another 955 for my pick up.....Shoulda listened to ya rabbi before i got the hpc2...Works great but no sidebanding..

This thread brings up a question I have. I have a 2013 F150, 4-door...and right now (which I can only imagine isn't great at all for the coax) but I'm running the coax through my 1 door that gets used the least.
Is there a different area on my pickup that I can run the antenna out so that it has zero interference with doors.windows? -
