Battery charger hard wired in since 1999, never fried a alt with it, never been replaced. You get what you pay for.

The generator makes 120 volts and thats it, no alt uses the 120 to run charger, I never have low battery problems until I need new batteries about every 3 years. Gen is very quite, Powertech makes the gen set for most of the entertainer busses. Problem is you need a box for it and quite a bit of frame rail.

One way to boost battery power is to add a 4th battery if you don't have one, makes a big difference. In nice weather I run Exhaust fan and the compressor type refrigerator/freezer on just batteries only and never have a problem.

One problem with the portable generator is once you start it you have to let it run, on a cold night I shut mine off when I get in bed, if I wake up cold I just push the button and heat comes on, same for AC,

Again, another fan who has probably never had to sleep next to one.

As for availability, you'd be hard pressed to find anything more widely and readily available in regards to service or parts, than TK.

Sound seems to be the biggest complaint. Easily fixed with an upgraded exhaust system. Every TK part is proprietary and way too expensive. I've heard you can get rigmaster parts at the big shelf auto parts stores.

I've had my Rigmaster since 2006 and love it. It does it all. Rigmaster has stuck with their design through the years and improved where needed.
