So every once in awhile it is nice to find yourself with plenty of time and a nice looking bar sitting at your front door step. I have only encountered 2 bars that I had a great time at that was made for truckers. I would say my vote would be:

    1) Troutdale, OR - The TA on i beleive exit 17 off the 81.
Great bar here called Mr. V's been there a few times and never had a bad time.

    2) Reno, NV - The Petro off the I-80
Inside the Petro they have the casino which has a bar and it has always also been a good time there. Get the Alamo Casino Card and you can get drinks for around $1

Is there any other bars that would be on your list of good place to go throughout these states?

Ok, let me think here. Jubitz in Portland, Or. has a nice bar with music. A couple more come to mind, not counting truck stops with bars close by, like next door or across the street. Gearjammer, I believe, in Yakima, Wa. and Wheeling, W.V. T/A ( dallas Pike comes to mind) and a place in Youngstown, Oh. with a bar, can't remember the name. Oh, yeah, the Evergreen TS in Federal Way, Wa. I believe it's turned into a Broadway Flying 'J' if it's still operating.

Truck World in Hubbard OH has a bar not a bad place to get a beer and unwind a little.

The old Stoney Ridge Truck Stop exit 29 on I75 in Ohio was a happen joint a few years ago, not much goes on there now. The old Colonial inn motel bar in Jeffersonville In was another great place to hang out, but its gone now, shame too, most any night of the week it was 3 women to 1man there.
Had a few beers at the Truck World before.
There are more I've been in just cant think of them at the moment.

Truck World has great wings, decent beer and good atmosphere. Jubitz has a great country bar and the Gearjammer is the first place I ever had Widmer's Drop Top.
While laid over at the TA in East Denver, I walked to the mall and had a great local beer at Toby Keith's I Love This Bar.
I once went to the BBQ bar in Carlisle when I lived up there, but found it nasty for even a dive bar!!!
I rarely drink on the road, personally, and if I do it's usually on a restart. I'm not a big 3 drinker (AB, Coors, Miller) as I prefer good beer, and the first words out of my mouth are "any local beers" when I do sit down at the bar.

Buckles saloon - Amarillo, Tx. Nice little local bar. Alot better since they knocked down the flea bag motel. Loves bought the property and fenced it. Don't have to dodge as many lot lizards. They put a walk thru gate from loves to bar parking lot. Someone was thinkin!

Yeah, Truck World was the place I was thinking about in Youngstown (Hubbard). There are tons of truck stops out there with bars across the street, like Wheatridge, Co. T/A. and a little motel/bar near Sapps in Commerce City, Co.

Yeah I agree fortycalglock.. I dont drink much when out on the road unless its a restart or something. And I actually remembered another bar i went to... It is in Winniemucka, Nv.. if you park at the flying J its right down the street or if you can find the number a van will pick you up and drop you off.. Good bar but its very ran down. A million girls from what I experienced..lol everyone was friendly too...

FYI, you can park in the lot next to the cat houses in Winnemucca (dirt lot) as well as the houses in Wells, Elko, Carlin, Mustang, most all of them. I only know this because a "friend" told me !
