Best Bars For Truckers

Willie's Place- er, I mean the new Pilot on 35 south of DFW..

 

I like the Pioneer Saloon at the Pioneer Villa truck stop in Halsey, OR (I-5, exit 216 I think.) Mostly truckers and bikers, I've had some interesting conversations at this bar.

They have Fat Tire on tap. Order the Ortega Burger.

Edit: Forgot Kind City Truck Stop in Pasco, WA as well as Crossroads Truck Stop in Umatilla, OR.

I usually end up having fun in Jubitz, too, but I tend to end up spending too much there.

 

There is a bar/saloon across from the Tomahawk on US 285/US24 outside Buena Vista, Co. They also have parking for 3 or 4 trucks, but the truckstop is wide open.

Someone mentioned Sapps and T/A in Denver, I would be vary wary of hitting any of the bars around either of those places. Commerce City PD was watching the one by Sapps a few months back and stopping drivers who were walking back to the truckstop and harrassing them.

 

my favorite is the tjo's steakhouse and bar next to the sapp bros in cheyanne wy. the checkered flag across the street from the iowa 80 is another good one its on the back side of grannys resturant. jacks bar in the parking lot of the flying j north of indy on 64. southern comfort in conley ga. across from the old t/a is still there. and dont forget if you ever stop at the pilot on 35west in fort worth tx. theres a guy named fat boy who runs a taxi serv in his personal car for 5 dollors both ways he will take you down to the stock yards where theres plenty o bars and even more women. my advise is take a 34 on the weekend in ft worth and go to the stockyards billy bobs the worlds largest ###### tonk is there. they have lots of national acts play there on saturday nights, theres an indoor bull riding ring you too can ride for 5 bucks. the bars all put toegher are a mile long oh and did i mention the women?????????

I love truck world in Hubbard, it's a nice place over all.

 

Beside the Sapp Bro's in Cheyanne, WY is a little bar called TeeJo's...half restaurant and half bar. Great Steaks and Prime Rib there and the bar has a fun atmosphere!

I would even include the Big Texan in Amarillo, TX good place for a steak and a brew.

I do miss the Stoney Ridge Inns, both north and south, had many a good times there.

Used to be a little a little bar near Truck City in Dearborn, MI we used to have fun partying in.

 

I-75 in Florida, Wildwood exit there is a bar that is in an old waffle house across from the gas station. Watered down booze, but the philly steak sandwich and wings are very good. has one pool table and its always been a good time with other truckers at the bar. Usually a good looking bar tender is on hand other then that, its not bad and you can park right behind the bar and crawl back to your truck at the end of the night!

TA in Wheat Ridge,CO I-70 exit 266 has a really good bar behind it...


In Illinois on I-74 exit 206 theres 2 truck stops and theres a bar right next to them decent food Oakwood,IL


Lebanon Indiana right behind the flying J theres a decent bar I-65 exit 139


LaPlace, louisiana I-10 exit 209 at the pilot theres a bar just on the other side of the hotel...great craw fish and gumbo

Cameron,MO I-35 exit 54 has a bar at the sinclair truck stop


Kearney,MO I-35 exit 26 across from the pilot behind the subway and burgerking is a big bar/grill


Ogallala,NE I-80 exit 126 across from the TA has a bar you can park the truck behind it...

Durant,OK US 69-75 in the parking lot next to the casino the little hotel there has a decent bar in it
