Shelbyville, IN. Pilot @ exit 109 off of I-74. Indiana Downs horse track and Indiana Live Casino is across the street. They run a shuttle to the truckstop, and if you don't see a shuttle go in the Pilot and ask, they will call you one. The Casino is huge, good poker room. If you aren't into horse betting or gambling still worth going over for the buffet. Huge and cheap, everything from crab legs and shrimp to fried chicken. There was a good band playing last time I went too.

The pilot on I-465 in Indianapolis has a bar in basically the same parking lot next to the hole in the wall hotel...I was just there for the first time and it was 90% drivers inside...You can walk to it if you park across the road at the Mr. Fuel also ...They sell Tombstone pizza for $6 but its way better than your home oven cause they use a pizza oven...LOL never had a frozen pizza that good...They also have 2 pool tables and a Juke box...and you gotta remember the dope head motel is next door if your looking for a wet tongue more than likley she will stop in the bar...and I think they are open till 3am 7 days a week. Man how do I find all these watering holes when Im on the road? I dont like to drink do I? LOL... Keep the recommendations coming drivers...Merry Christmas...

Ill be darn...I did it again...I found another watering hole...I will say it for you I cant believe that!!! LOL the Pilot off I-94 in Saint Cloud,MN has a bar basically in the parking lot...The parking at the pilot does suck but theres a couple spots on the road behine the pilot as well...The food was very good at this place...If no parking here a couple exits to the east is the Petro which has a pub in it....I just drove by the old TA in Albert Lea,MN on I35 i think its X11 across from the loves but its now a Petro and the signin on the Highway says they have a pub in there as well...I will be checking it out soon...

    my living room, back yard.
It's rare when i have a drink while out on the road. Unless i'm laid over with a hotel room.

I can't remember exactly where but I think it's a Pilot now but use to be a Union76 back in the 90's. Someone can correct me. It's I-95 exit 3 in Paulsboro, NJ on the east side. There was a wild bar across the street you could walk to or you could park there. It was a cool bar with pool tables and all. That was the one time I got drunk on the road. I'm not use to a place that sells liquor but them peach schnapps shots kicked my .... I can't tell you the rest.

Wasn't there a truck stop in Southern TN with a big chicken out front that had a peeler joint out back?

The truck stop in Mineral Wells, WV (immediately north of the scales) has a peeler joint out back, the fuel desk has coupons to get you in the door for free.

I65 to Fern Valley Rd go West past the Ford plant. Turn left at the end on Grade Ln. Go about 1 mile. Stooge's Bar and Grill is on the left. Park in the dirt lot on the North side.

Be careful of the potholes. Good food, but the night and weekend bartenders leave much to be desired.
