Get steel or composite toe boots.
I prefer slip-on boots over lace-up boots & round toe vs. point toe boots.
Boot Corral & Boot Barn has fair prices.
Amazon has the same boots.

These are good quarter socks. Very comfortable with extra cushion in the bottom.
I buy the black color, but can also get white or gray.
I buy a 6-pack at a time from Walmart Online Shopping.

Carolina Boot makes many different styles. They make an affordable, midrange quality boot. They have expensive ones too, but they aren't for what you would be doing. I have switched a few times but always go back. They seem to stick with the same styles. So once you find the one you like you can get them for years and years.
Expensive boots last just a little bit longer in my experience and just aren't worth the investment. If you find a pair of expensive boots that you like on sale that will be the only time you will ever see them again. Then you are back to looking for new boots you like in a year or less.
Get steel or composite toe, even if you don't think you need them.Phoenix Heavy Haul, Boondock and Chinatown Thank this. -
Red Wings are probably the best. Never owned a pair myself. Wolverine is good. Had a pair once. A decent “Rancher” from Tractor Supply, like Chinatown posted I’d my current choice. No shoelaces please. Trip safety hazard.

For pull on boots I like red wing Irish Setter. Going on 4 years now with the same pair, I'll replace them before winter. My winter boots are Carolina 28s 800g insulation
JoeyJunk, BennysPennys and Boondock Thank this.
