Best burger on the road?

Wow, that looks like a great way to pop an artery!

 

That looks like a trip to the bathroom...... Hope they have newspapers....

 

I've gotta admit...... for a large chain, Carl's Jr has definitely got it going on. They have some AMAZING burgers that are to travel out of the way for.

But, I will side with a good majority here to indicate that my favorite would not be from one of the large chains. Here in Salt Lake City, we have Astro Burger and Crown Burger that pretty much tops it. And, for a touch of "upper-end" burger - The Training Table. Awesome!!

 

Ah, my absolute favorite stop, never missed it if could help it. I'm happy to hear it's still chugging along.

That parking lot was quiet and as dark as the inside of a cow, and if they got to know you a bit they didn't mind if you got your own coffee or wandered back in the kitchen.

And the wait staff was nothing to sneeze at, either. Whew.

I would kill for a burger right now . I wheeled into a rest area with 1 minute on my 14 , so I am not going anywhere for a while. Lol

 

The Big Chief in Fergus Falls, MN has a pretty good Bison Burger. If you've never had bison I suggest you try one. They are off of exit 61 on I-94. Big dirt lot, looks like a hole (it kinda is) but the bison burger and the beer battered fries are worth the stop.

 

Fat moes is the stuff. Also one in Columbia just south of Nashville. Whataburger and in n out are my top 3

 

There used to be a place called Charlies, with a sign painted on the outside wall, of an army cook flipping burgers and the caption, "over two dozen sold".....

Charlies made the best burger ever.

Sadly, all good things eventually come to an end.

I was there when they tore the place down.

It was a real bummer.

 

I use stay right across from Fat Mo's when I stayed in Nashville good frickin burger IMO!!

 

where is Mo's exactly? I will be in Nashville tomorrow and don't deliver till Monday am
