What's the best cetane booster out there?? I've looked at power service, stanadyne and a few others but the most I can find is a boost of 8 cetane numbers. Anybody running anything with a higher cetane rating??

Since they took the sulfer out it's ####. I don't care what kinda motor your running you need to ad something for lubricity and a cetane boost is also a good idea.

This is what it says online....

"For best results with up to a seven point cetane increase, add one oz. of AMSOIL Cetane Boost per five gallons of diesel fuel (one bottle to 80 gallons). For up to a three point cetane increase, add one oz. per 10 gallons of diesel fuel (one bottle to 160 gallons). "

Retail for it is $8.55 but I pay $50.00 a year to be a dealer because I run there oil also and it cost me $6.45 a bottle if you dont buy them in a case...
When I fill it most of the time it is about 200 gallons also and I put one bottle in each tank... I buy a case of 12 for $73.20 so that is a cost of $6.10 per bottle...

I also run 5% Bio so between the Bio and the Cetane boost and in the winter I also add the amsoil "Diesel Concentrate Plus Cold Flow Improver" and I have never had a problem in the last 2 years... If you try it and like it pay the $50.00 so you can get at dealer prices. Pays off fast...

I thought the new bio fuel was great for lubricity. I DO use additives, but when the subject of additives come up, it's usually like the Hatfield's & the Mcoy's around here. :yes2557:
