Exactly. It isn’t a good idea to have it as a staple but there is a time and a place for it.

2 weeks ago I had a bad sinus, head cold problem. The sinus was bad enough I had trouble sleeping at night so I would take nyquil tablets before I went to bed, didn't trust the liquid nyquil. I figured out that sleep was the trick. After getting knocked out by the nyquil for 8 hours I would be good for 12 hours than my sinus would start acting up again. Took the usual 7 days for it to all go away but the nyquil made it easier.

Asprin is actually a good choice.
Warm liquids, those that are close to body temperature will be absorbed into the system quicker than hotter or colder.

    You stop to piss?
Cold medicines don't cure anything. Just mask the symptoms. Ride it out.

When I have had a cold or flu in the past I have used Tylenol severe cold and flu. It doesn't seem to contain any "non-trucker" meds that would make you sleepy or drowsy, or test dirty. In fact it says to stop taking it if it makes you drowsy. Dries up my sinuses like the sahara desert. It's got tylenol in it, so don't take it with more tylenol. They do have a nighttime version too, if needed, but that does have meds to make you drowsy.

OP, just want to warn you that if your cold is bad and you get pulled over, the cop may tell you that you can't drive at all, and put you out of service.

I have a driver who just went through this last week, he had a level one and the cop asked him if he was feeling alright, he said it is a cold, it was obvious it was a serious cold so the cop put him oos and we had to get a truck over there to pick the load up.

There is a product call emergence or close to that which is a strong dose of vitamin C which helps but once you down with the cold you have to work it out so stay hydrated with hot water and get plenty of sleep. Sleep is when you body repairs itself so catch some. 6 hours is what is required on a healthy body.
