Its a WIA (Workforce In Action) grant, federally sponsored and provided locally throughout the country. Just google WIA grant and it should pull up whoever is providing the classes in your area. Takes about 4 weeks to get through all of the workshops and assesements (they want to make sure its a good career choice for you and that your able to be hired on before they send you to class). Would recomend getting your physical done and getting your permit, as well as contacting a handfull of starter companies and getting your prehires done (shows initiative). Once you complete everything they want you to do and you pick the school you want to go to, they have a list to pick from they will give you a voucher and you will be on your way. Once you complete school you will owe nothing and you are free to work for any companies that will hire new drivers, local/LTL, regional, OTR, whatever. Good luck and hope it works out for you. I am starting class on Monday so yes it works :)
