2600 miles for reefer, that seems low to me... that is flatbed miles.. Reefer should be average 2800 very minimum.. 3k+ should be normal week.. But what do i know.. Crete is decent company , a step up in pay from a mega but they are pretty big themselves, but ive never heard anything bad about them from their drivers. good luck to u

I've heard folks say that Crete will regionalize their drivers. 2600 miles is about average to above average these days. I remember one driver saying his loads had yet to be more than 500 or so miles per load. At 50 com, that's not a bad check. If the fleet is averaging that, then that means you can only go up. Then most of their loads are probably drop and hook.

I agree you'll do good at Crete or Schaefer whichever it's the same company... The miles sound about right but if you are willing to stay out and run you will get more miles but all in all it is a good company. just remember it is trucking and all trucking companies have stupid s*** so don't get all excited stay there get your experience in with a good company

Thing with crete, shaffer, or hunt(if you want flatbed) is that you dont even need to ask to go home. The system will send you a msg saying you have been out x amount of time and will you will start to be routed back home. If you want to stay out later you have to tell them. Also for every 6 days out you get 1 day home and there is no limit to how many days you can build or use. So if you save up 30 days you can take 30 days off and take the truck home unlike other companies that require a clean out if you plan on staying home for more than 5 days. Only catch is when you go home you either use ALL your points or lose them.

That actually works out perfect. My family lives overseas so I usually stay out 3 months so I can tske 2-3 weeks off at a time. With a 24 hour flight each way anything less dont make much sense.

I wanna thank everyone for the suggestions. Unfortunately I wont be able to leave CFI untill April. I was under a misconception regarding the contract and repayment of the cost for them putting me through trucking school. However, I did get several ideas for next year. Thanks agsin.
