Well put G/Man. Unfortunately, many of the "poor" do not realize that they could make it to the ranks of the "rich." Of course, it is usually not easy. Much easier to put one's hand out than to work hard to get ahead. Even if that starts with flipping burgers, all those McD's need managers. Get management experience and many more opportunities are available. Throw in a little comm college education. Many employers would die for an employee with a good work ethic. Anyone can choose to work hard...it is not about advantage, or birthright or anything else.

So I read through all the pages, and I saw one actual company listed and the rest was opinions.

Truck payments are a tax writeoff so it's like driving a truck for free? Now there's some trucker logic for you. Send the bank, or lease company in this case, a HUGE pile of money every week in order to keep from sending uncle Sam what amounts to a small amount by comparison? That is driving a truck for free? I want in sign me up! lol!

For some reason there are those who believe that someone who happens to be rich could not possibly have gotten their wealth by any other means but by stealing from others. They don't think that some actually work for their wealth. Thinking by some in this country has certainly changed over the last 30 or 40 years. There was a time when we looked up and patterned our life so that we could achieve great success. Now, all some want to do is tear down those for their achievements. If you obtain any level of success you do so by hard work. You will set goals, educate yourself and do what is necessary to achieve your goals. Those who envy those who are successful would rather sit on the backsides and whine about those who have actually worked and achieved their dreams. Those who fail want to blame someone for their failure. They most likely decided to not get a good education or learn about their chosen profession.

Absolutely true in this industry. Work hard, get a trucking company going, become a success - according to 95% of the posters in this forum that automatically means you're stealing from the drivers you employ.

    Funny how that works...
