I have read May is a good place to get your feet wet. Check with Watkins Shepard as well. They run up and down the west coast a lot I believe.

Guess I'm the lucky one...waiting orientation from Maverick.

I was considering Con-Way. Any opinions ???
-
Go with Schneider.

May I ask why Newbeav??
-
1) No lies, good DBL's.
2)Well maintained equipment
3)Great regional centers for showers, maintenance, etc.
4)Many options-dry van, intermodal, tankers, etc.
5)Drivers treated with respect.
No, I am not a recruiter....Nothwoods Thanks this. -
Where are they from Kingman is not set in stone

Nothing OTR. Try Sysco, Gordon Food Service, Pepsi, Con-way Freight. Do some research and stay away from the big coolie carriers.

why did you go with Maverick?
-
Didn't find to many negative comments from around the fourm or people I asked. Nothing is perfect, you just try to find a happy medium and feel what will work best. Also, I wanted flatbed. Seemed interesting, your more involved with what you are transporting and a better than average training program. Money was better than most, Healthcare is on par with others but, I will be signed up a little sooner than the other companies.
Maverick runs a tight ship!
Still have to pass physical and stuff but, should be ok.
