Thanks for the advice well taken. I do have one company to go to that wants the specs I am looking for but looking for a back up and to see if there are any in general good heavy haul companies out there.

You would probably be pretty safe with a truck specd at 270-290 for a set forward axle and 244-270 with a set back front axle with a 9'6 min on the lift to rear axle spread.

Not sure where you are located but here in the northwest the spreads are measured on 6" increments for there weight raitings. The other key to truck specs is getting one heavy enough to take the extra abuse of the added weights but yet light enought to still pack as much payload as possible. At my company we try for 60,000 pound payload minimums.

I see some people here living in Spokane CDA area, I live in CDA! I am working on my CDL right now and just saw an add by System for MAXI drivers with very good starting pay. Is that something a beginning driver should even be looking at? How difficult is a MAXI compared to a dry van or flatbed?

I am not interested in becoming an owner op just yet, just wondering if MAXI hauling is a feasible idea for a rookie or not, because I don't see any experience requirement in the listing, and pay starts over 50cpm
