There are alot of companies that will hire you..thing is to look for is which one will make you happy? There are a few things to look at. Cents per mile for a starting driver, Pet policy, Rider policy, Insurance Etc. There are alot of cookie cutter companies that will hire you and run you into the ground then there are others that wont run you what so ever. Obvisouly I should say go to Crete but at the same time if you get a great job like that you wont know what you've go to its gone. Another thing to look at is what do you want to do? There is flatbed, car hauler, reefer, dry van, oversize, hazmat, LTL, dedicated, regional, OTR and each one has its own set of challenges. Just something to think about.

So before you go wondering in to a place far away from home where you will find your self stuck in laaaa laaaa Land because you are too broke to say no make plans for what you are about to do Plan A,B,C,D, and so on Don't just fly there because it is free and don't go some where where you can't afford to get back Home You Hear me ? I have seen people get their live' up side down and all they wanted to do is get a darn job

 

Yes. Maverick has several flatbed divisions plus a refrigerated division. Ask which division would be best for you considering where you live. They do have a terminal in Laurinburg, NC.

If it doesn't work out with Maverick, check Howard Transportation. It's a good smaller company, 150 trucks, that will hire CDL graduates. They have a terminal in Kenly, NC.
