After a few setbacks, my husband got his CDL today! So now we really buckle down with figuring out what company to try to get him into, and then me. I’ve been working and unable to make time for school so we figured it would be better that he gets his first and then I proceed. Wish I had more update than that

V3 Transportation hires teams as long as one has a CDL-A and the other at least a CDL-A Permit.
I'm not recommending the company, because I know very little about it. Saw an ad for husband/wife or boyfriend/girlfriend teams. The ad has, the CDL-A driver trains the CDL-A Permit driver while hauling freight.
