Best company to provide CDL training for husband and wife to team drive OTR

Why do they use those and not a tractor trailer combo?

 

Basically a package service like FedEx box trucks.
They can make deliveries where tractor-trailers can't go.
I talked to one Panther driver that took a single envelope 800 miles because it was expedited and the company shipping the envelope had no issues paying the bill.
Some loads might be just a couple of auto parts or maybe blood plasma to a hospital. All types of scenarios.

 

That would actually be a fun job, I think.

 

Any updates from the original couple? My husband and I are starting CDL school next week. We still haven’t found a company that will train us together (neither of us have experience). Any other suggestions?

Covenant trains together. Hubby and I just went thru it and we had a great time. Their training is 180 hours per driver, so 3 to 4 weeks Schneider also just started doing it, but their training is 10 days orientation and 8 days on the road. I liked the longer driving time with the trainer, especially with this harsh winter we are having. We learned a lot. Good luck!

 

You should've went to CR England and tried out their new 3 bunk truck... kinda wondering how they live in that thing..

 

Lol, I saw those. Not easy sleeping with the hubby in that bottom twin bunk, 3 bunks would have been nice. But the lost storage space would have been a little rough too.

 

Yea I'm sure... when I was married my ex wife had to pack for 400 years worth of stuff so I bought had to weld a hitch on the back of the DOT bumper and pull a 5x8 to carry all of her stuff
