Submit applications during the first week of driving school. Submit several so you have job offers to choose from.
All those companies I listed hire new CDL grads. If the websites show "experience required" it's because the website isn't up to date.

    Hey Chinatown, que pasta?

Wondering why you don't include Schneider in your list. Don't hear too much bad about them.

I often recommend Schneider Bulk because the pay is good in that division. Dry van drivers don't seem to make the big paychecks unless they run teams or on some boring dedicated account. If the solo drivers are making good money they sure keep it a secret.

Schneider seems to be a pretty decent company. There's so much out there now for new CDL grads; many companies people haven't heard until they read this forum. Schools usually push Schneider, US Express, Werner, Swift, so I try to mention companies students probably never heard of. For example James H. Clark & Son which has 100 trucks and Howard Transportation which has 150 trucks.
Martin Bros. Dist. is another one most drivers haven't heard of, or Dutch Maid Logistics. Jones Bros. Trucking is another. I like to let new drivers know about these companies the schools may not even know about. More choices to get a new career started.

    This is my opinion.

Don't. Touch. Pam. Ever. Unless you are leasing. In which case there are plenty of other better options.

I'm driving solo for Schneider right now in dry van. I've been running with them for about the past two months. They have not left me sitting around for one minute. I always have miles if I want them. The temp 0-180 board dbls are great. Very helpful.

I think they are slowly starting to phase in automatics though. I haven't seen one yet, but they are giving us a lot information about them in our qualcomms.

They are also phasing in parksmarts on all the trucks.

You can PM me for more info if you want. I hope you find a nice company wherever you end up though.

Thanks for the list of companies China! But I was wondering if you know of any good companies to start out with that are located (based) in California or the west coast.
