    Sure I guess you could but weight is the factory and also when I say space I mean like 5 or 6 feet but that would be if your pulling long stuff all the time. I'm not sure if you could get a 5th wheel that moved that far

    I used to haul 55' engineered lumber and steel beams on my 48' flat... but you need the wheelbase to allow for overhang on the front of the trailer... you can overhang 4' at the back.

    In many cases I got paid for oversize but never had to pull a permit... more cash in the back pocket.
