Hi, I have 2 trucks and never had business credit cards and would like to open one and use it for maintainance, repairs and establish my business credit. I'm already have a good fuel card and only need rewards credit card.

    Regards,

If your trucks are over the road you should have at least 2 diff. cards from 2 diff. co. so in case of one not working (hackers)you can use other. all should be paid off at end of mo. or you have $ problems in the making?

Chase Ink Cash and Amex SimplyCash are two of the best business cards you can get. Amex is probably a little bit easier to get. Both of them are cash rewards cards with no annual fee.

A great benefit to both of them is 5% cash back on cellular bills, in addition to 5% back at office supply stores. The Ink also gives 5% back on satellite or cable TV, 2% on restaurants. You can choose an additional category for 3% with the Amex. Both of them give a minimum of 1% back on any purchase. Also, both of them have great 0% introductory periods, as well.

I see that the Ink card has a good intro offer of $300 back if you meet the minimum spending required. The Amex card usually has something similar - I think $250 back on it. Search around for that offer on the Amex.

You'll have to apply directly from a link with the offer to get the deal. But, if you've got some fairly large spending imminent, you might as well take advantage of that free money.

Get one from your local credit union for good terms. Avoid mega banks like the plague.

Just look for any restrictions; for example, some don't reward fuel purchases (or fuel purchases over a certain dollar amount).

Even with a good fuel card, there are times when a mom & pop station is selling diesel cheaper than I can get with fleet one (usually when prices are going up and they have an old supply of cheaper fuel).

Annual fee's are just another reason to not give a bank your credit card business and go with a credit union. I've never had an annual fee on a credit card.
