I'm probably asking some taboo and/or otherwise restricted question; but let's say that hypothetically, I was given a 2025 pete 579 from a transportation company. Now obviously it's gonna have all the fluff and filler that they install (such as a snitch camera, tracking devices, etc) but the one thing I'm interested in is if there is a scan tool (like an OBD2 for cars) that can give me access to the parameters/guards in the ecu and let me modify and/or remove them completely; specifically the idle shutdown timer and the speed limiter.
And before y'all get all up in arms and spouting of that I'm gonna kill someone when I lose control; just hear me out: It should be obvious as to why I want the idle interrupter removed/disengaged. And as for the speed limit being removed? I mean come on: y'all have driven 81 north and south more than once right? I am willing to accept the berating and admonishments from my company and give them a mea culpa for as long as they'll accept it. I just want to stop being that one truck that, regardless of the load weight, is the one truck that is holding up everybody else cause I'm capped at 65.
So anybody got any suggestions as to what aftermarket scanners I can look at that would satiate the two requirements I have?
best ecm/ecu/whatewverdoohickie scanner/reseter out there?
