Hi everyone, I'm new in CDL A. What is good starting point on the North-East Coast? Can you recommend any trucking company for the entry level position in NY, NJ? Thank you very much!

Where are you? NY and NJ is real rough on a new driver. OTR or local?

Thank a lot! I checked the website, looks O'k to me but did not get anything about weekly salary :
    • No weeks of riding with a stranger
    • Regular Home Time
    • Weekly pay
    • No Hazmat
    • Layover Pay
    • Paid on PC Practical miles
    • Dispatchers who know you by name!
    • Work your way into dedicated runs
    • $20 a stop pay on most stops
    • Steady year round work
    • All automatic fleet
    • Electronic logs with GPS mapping
    • Paid orientation
    • Safety Bonuses
    • Breakdown pay
    • Class A CDL
    • A good safety record
Should I call them first, before sighing the application?

Give the recruiters a call. They have OTR which is mostly single stop stuff. Then have regional which is mostly LTL furniture. That's where the money is because you make money on stops. I'm on track to make 65k my first year with them.

    AndreRusso Thanks this.
