I am looking for highflow mufflers for a w900. I know about the pittsburgh power but I was reading on their website that they are loud. I run teams with my wife so I don't wanna be waking her up! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

I have a W900 but its a day cab so the mufflers go up the side. I run megaflows from NAPA they are not very loud but if you have an aerocab that is usless info to you.

All of the high flow mufflers for the W900L Aerocab are about the same. Because it is that one goofy single muffler under the bunk you don't have a lot of options. Performance Diesel Inc. in St George, Ut also has a high flow muffler but it's almost exactly the same as the Pittsburgh Power one.

you can mount 2 of the pitts mufflers under in series and it will be as quit as you like. i mounted mine on the fuel tank brackets (one on each side) and ran 180 degree pipes to connect.

Could you please post pictures of that? How much did that cost? I know the mufflers are about $150 each.

Mine has 2 mufflers under the cab. if you have a louder muffler under the cab the noise will be there right? Rumbling the sleeper? That's what Pitts. P.'s website said. If I just turn it into straights, and delete the mufflers will it be rattling the sleeper or just loud coming out of the pipes?

Couldnt you run straights with internal resonators in the stacks?

    Would that work?

I pulled the two crappy stock cat style from under my 2004 W900, went back with two of the stock Walkers that are found on the older W9s; (most have just one). Quieter, but they are expensive, around $200/per IIRC, and still have that roaring sound. My truck doesn't have an insulation package, and am adding neoprene sponge under the floor. Not nearly finished, but noticing a big difference already.
