@BMS towards the bottom of each post there is a thumbs up with "Thank" next to it. you can click that instead of posting the same thing 5 times. Just letting you know.

True, but I'd personally prefer one that might not have been urinated on.

I drive a Cascadia and leave the front area uncovered. Less layers and less clutter down there. I use a wisk broom as mentioned above frequently, then when I have down time i wipe the floor with disposable disinfectant wipes. I carry them anyway, so it makes sense. I get them at Costco, cheap. The rear cabinets go right down to the floor, so it's hard to cover the bit of carpet back there. I wish it wasn't there. I keep a cordless vacuum at home and hit the carpet whenever I can.

IMHO carpet is the worst possible floor covering for a truck, no matter what kind of freight you haul. It's nothing but a dirt trap, hard to clean.

Once I pay off my truck and get ahead of the maintenance schedule I plan to replace the entire floor at the same time I install a new seat. I haven't decided on exactly what kind of floor, but will add extra insulation. The rubber work mat is great, but I can see that it may not take long term abuse.

The only contradiction I have to this is that if you are throwing down carpet, say in the sleeper, once it gets grubby you can just yank it out and throw in a new piece because it's so cheap.

If you're feeling really motivated you could beat the old one, vacuum it, run a scrubber on it and set it aside for a later re-install to the truck. Once they both get really worn down you buy another piece or 2 and start the cycle all over again.

Hell if you're lucky then someone who loves you might do the cleaning of the old one while you're busy getting the new one dirty. Just a thought.

That's why I specced a vinyl floor in my pickup. It's easy to clean. :)
