Any truckers coming back to trucking after two or more years. My short time at CRST was horrendous in 2011. I don't mind starting at the bottom, but I do need better than min wage after three months. Info from drivers that have restarted a trucking career that have been out of the seat for more than two years would be appreciated. Not looking for shortcuts, just a fair shot at a pay check. Let me know how things are going if your back in the business after being out for a long time. Thanks !

I hadn't been in a truck for about 2 or 3 years (didn't have much exp. either) and faced the same problem. I sent in an app to Crete with a letter explaining my situation and got the call! I've now been with them a little over 5 years so I think thats a good sign LOL. I did spend 3 weeks out with a trainer (@$500 per wk) and got my own truck at somewhere around .35cpm
check em out and good luck

Thanks, I'm glad it worked out for you, I might go back to a ten wheeler (dump truck) done it B/4 but not the type of trucking I really like. The guy only has a few trucks, that can go either way. Writing a detailed letter sounds like a good idea. Thanks !
